Phaedra (/ˈfiːdrə/) was a Cretan princess, a daughter of King Minos and Queen Pasiphae of Crete. Her name derives from the Greek word “φαιδρός” (phaidros), which means “bright”. The mornings seem to be brighter on the spacious terrace of Villa Phaedra; take advantage of the healing properties of the Mediterranean sun and lye on the comfortable and luxurious sunbeds.

Villa Phaedra is in the same area as Villa Ariadne, Villa Androgeus, Villa Deucalion, Villa Glaucus, Villa Xenodice, Villa Catreus and Villa Acalle; each maintains its privacy. Villa Phaedra is a twin to Villa Glaucus and a lit bit bigger. All villas are located on a slope with olive groves of Kissamos with a panoramic sea view. The villa’s complex includes a reception and a private parking area. The distance to the beach is just a short walk away, only 2km.

Inside the villa

“Light up mother nature” seems to be the term that best sums up this approach. The expansive picture windows and the sliding glass doors allow natural light to pass through, and it will be welcome to feel closer the nature. The colours are naturally neutral to recall nature as well as to gain clarity and a sense of space; the white base is decorated with grey and green details, while smooth brown glasses create a “lighting play” with their reflections. The combination of the colours and materials is repeated to lead continuity to the different areas in the villa. Villa Phaedra has two-storey levels, two bedrooms with en-suite baths and can accommodate up to 4 adults in an area of 95m².

Ground Floor:

A bright open-plan area contains the living room and the kitchen. A spacious area with modern furniture in off-white tunes and large openings modernized the facades, enhancing indoor lighting and outdoor visibility. The fully equipped kitchen has a practical Corian work surface and a fancy island table. Behind the kitchen are the ground-floor bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in Spa shower. The made-to-measure glass construction in smooth brown gives the bedroom a sense of inviting warmth and a feeling of “a home away from home”; combined with the comfy mattress, a blissful sleep seems to be an easy-peasy thing.

Bedroom 1: two single beds with the flexibility to become a double (160x200cm), en-suite bathroom with separate WC and bathtub, patio door.

Upper Floor:

The stairs lead up to an isolated bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a built-in bathtub.  The feeling of softness on the well-known Coco-Mat® mattresses in all bedrooms promises a relaxed sleep experience. Feel the uniqueness of waking up and admiring the unstoppable view in front of your eyes.  The upper bedroom opens onto a private balcony to luxuriate from the captivating scenery. The balcony is equipped with patio furniture as well.

Outside Area

In the morning, snug at the sun loungers or luxuriate with a refreshing dip into the elongated infinity pool (33m², 10m length x 3.3m width, depth of 1.1 to 1.6m). In the evening, enjoy your meal or a glass of local wine in the stylish al fresco dining area next to the swimming pool and gaze at the flickering stars. The alfresco dining area is covered by a tailor-made pergola providing shade whilst letting the healing sun filter through.
