Deucalion, /dju:keɪli:ən/, was one of the sons of King Minos and Queen Pasiphae of Crete. His name means “Zeus’ attractiveness”, from “Δευς” (Deus) to “Ζευς (Zeus) and “καλίων” (kalion). Villa Deucallion has an empyrean attractiveness to its guest; a calming, minimalist interior that focuses on the exquisite landscape and the rejuvenating sea view. Villa Deucalion is in the same area as Villa Ariadne, Villa Androgeus, Villa Acalle, Villa Phaedra, Villa Glaucus, Villa Catreus and Villa Xenodice; each maintains its privacy. Villa Deucalion is the most extensive villa of the complex. The location is on a slope with olive groves of Kissamos, offering a panoramic sea view. The villa’s complex includes a reception and a private parking area. The distance to the beach is just a short walk away, only 1km.

Inside the villa

“Companionship and isolation” best sum up the distinct layout of the villa; the common area is modern, spacious, and inviting. At the same time, all the bedrooms are entirely isolated between them, as luxurious havens. Six (6) adults will wake to the sea view in the three understatedly elegant bedrooms that make up this 115spm paradise.

Companionship area:

On the ground floor, in front of an endless blue view, is the common area of Villa Deucalion. An open-plan space with large windows and sliding glass doors aims to diffuse natural lighting, creating a bright and opulent atmosphere. The palette includes thin black metal perforated surfaces, transparent plexiglass on chairs, and wooden elements, set brightness with white and pale grey colours that help maintain a sense of calm within this highly domestic space.  This area includes a comfortable living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a modern dining room with an island table and a washroom.

Isolation areas:

Villa Deucalion consists of three private bedrooms; the “orange” on the ground, the “white & grey” and the “green” on the first floor. Each bedroom consists of a separate entrance giving the ability of isolation when it is needed; the first-floor bedrooms have an outdoor entry through the pathway of the swimming pool, and the “white & grey” which is on the top of the common area, has additional indoor access through a stylish free-standing metal staircase; the entrance of the “orange” bedrooms is opposite the main. The unstoppable view through the sliding doors and the wall-to-wall windows creates a unique sense of extravagance. The feeling of softness on the well-known Coco-Mat® mattresses in all bedrooms promises a relaxed sleep experience. The first-floor bedrooms have private balconies equipped with patio furniture, giving another option to luxuriate from the marvellous sea view. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with bathtubs or a walk-in spa shower, and also, all beds are double with the flexibility to convert into two singles.

Bedroom 1: “Orange”- double bed (180x200cm), en-suite bathroom with separate WC and walk-in spa shower, ground from, direct entrance at the pool area.

Bedroom 2: “White & grey” – double bed (180x200cm), en-suite bathroom with separate WC and bathtub, first floor, indoor and outdoor access, private balcony.

Bedroom 3: “Green” – double bed (180x200cm), en-suite bathroom with separate WC and bathtub, first floor, indoor and outdoor access, private balcony.

Outside Area

The exterior focuses on the elongated heated infinity pool (36m², 9m length x 4m width, depth of 1.1 to 1.6m) with a characteristic “cimentogonia” surface and full-width Roman steps, orientated towards striking idyllic Mediterranean sea views. A stylish al fresco dining area next to the swimming pool is covered by a tailor-made pergola providing shade whilst letting the healing sun filter through. So, whether you decide to luxuriate at the inviting exterior dining area or the snug sun loungers, the view will accompany you on every edge of the spacious terrace.
