Androgeus was one of the sons of King Minos and Queen Pasiphae of Crete. His name means “an earthly man” and is derived from the ancient Greek “Ανήρ”, /anir/, which means “man”, and “Γη”, /Ge/, which means «earth». Villa Adrogeus is an earthly haven, surrounded by gardens which are well-cared for and full of flowering shrubs, trees and herbs, with the faintest aroma of lavender on the light breeze blending harmonically with the enchanting topical flora.

Villa Androgeus is in the same area as Villa Ariadne, Villa Deucalion, Villa Acalle, Villa Phaedra, Villa Glaucus, Villa Catreus and Villa Xenodice; each maintains its privacy. The location is on a slope with olive groves of Kissamos, offering a panoramic sea view. The villa’s complex includes a reception and a private parking area. The distance to the beach is just a short walk away, only 1km.

Inside the villa

The architecture of Androgeus’ Villa offers closeness to nature through its refreshingly simple forms and minimalist approach. The villa consists of the main buildings and a nearby guest room, volumed in two-storey, with two bedrooms, elegant en-suite bathrooms, and a shared washroom. Villa can accommodate up to 4 adults in an area of 115spm.

Ground Floor:

The common area of the villa and the nearby guestroom are on the ground floor. The common site contains an open-plan space with large windows and sliding glass doors that aims to diffuse natural lighting, creating a bright and opulent atmosphere. The palette includes thin black metal perforated surfaces, transparent plexiglass on chairs, and wooden elements, set brightness with white and silver-brown colours that help maintain a sense of calm within this highly domestic space. This area includes a comfortable living room with an eco-friendly fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, a modern dining room with an island table and a washroom.

The guestroom is the “light blue” bedroom matching the colours of the swimming pool in front of the room. All bedrooms offer isolation when needed due to the different levels and incomes.

Bedroom 1: “Light blue”- double bed (160x200cm) (can convert to twin single beds), en-suite bathroom with separate WC and walk-in spa shower, direct entrance at the pool area.

First Floor:

On the first floor is the main bedroom, with the dominant colour “silver-brown”, creating a continuity with the common area of the villa. The unstoppable view through the glass sliding doors, in combination with the opulent design of the bedroom, creates a unique sense of extravagance. The feeling of softness on the well-known Coco-Mat® mattresses in all bedrooms promises a relaxed sleep experience. The private balcony of the main bedroom is fully equipped with patio furniture, giving another option to luxuriate from the idyllic sea view.

Outside Area

The exterior focuses on the elongated heated infinity pool (33m², 10m length x 3.3m width, depth of 1.1 to 1.6m) with a characteristic “cimentogonia” surface and full-width Roman steps, orientated towards striking idyllic Mediterranean sea views. A stylish al fresco dining area next to the swimming pool is covered by a tailor-made pergola providing shade whilst letting the healing sun filter through. So, whether you decide to luxuriate at the inviting exterior dining area or the snug sun loungers, the view will accompany you on every edge of the spacious terrace.
